About me

Howdy! The name is Dane, or Wombat. Both work, both are me! I am 23 years old and have always loved telling and sharing stories, and naturally have been drawn to the role of DMing for ttrpgs. Now while i absolutely love getting to DM, i am still relatively new to TTRPGs in general, having only played for about 2-3 years now, in that time i have run 1 fully homebrewed campaign, in a homebrew world setting with homebrew deities and rules and lore and etc. I have also run a number of pre written modules and homebrew one shots. Most commonly i have run DnD 5e, but have relatively recently found a new passion for Delta Green. Essentially all of my experience has come with my regular group where we stream our games at Cast Exposition. (Streaming is always secondary in my mind, players come first.) I just want to provide everyone with an awesome experience and awesome stories in a fun and safe environment. And while i consider myself a still very green DM, i am very welcoming and accepting of any experience level, new or primordial. Not just this, but while i am green, i plan on offering my sessions at a very low rate. My time zone is in Australia, but am always happy to do my best to ensure that i am able to accommodate those across the pond.

GM Style

Most aspects of running a campaign or scenario will change depending on what players want or don't want from campaigns, expressed in session zeros. I love every aspect of a ttrpg, but mostly i love stories, and getting to work with players to create a world and story that everyone can enjoy and remember fondly. When it comes to running games, like i said i enjoy it all, but when it comes down to combat, i enjoy running challenging encounters that force the players to think, be tactical, and know that everything will have consequences. In saying that though, i enjoy running difficult encounters, but i absolutely hate killing pcs, so that can be quite a fine line to walk, but from all reviews so far, i've managed to walk it pretty well. Unfortunately deaths sometimes cant be avoided, but i do my best to make sure that when this happens, said character gets a respectful and well deserved send off. I do my best to give characters fun and unique personalities and voices, but i am by no means a professional voice actor haha but it is something i am constantly trying to work on!
