About me

I started running games about four years ago, largely because I realized that if I wanted consistent D&D, I'd have to be the one to DM. After I started, though, I came to really love being the D/GM and helping my players tell an awesome story! I am a history PhD, so I love creating homebrew worlds with references to ancient civilizations and various mythologies, but you certainly don't need a PhD to join me. I can provide the rich, colorful world, you can provide the rich, colorful characters! I run games that are inclusive and diverse, with a good balance between role-playing and combat, but I can lean more one way or the other as players prefer. I love dynamic combat with various roles and objectives, interactive maps, and a wide variety of enemies. I've run games for adults and children, beginners and veterans, and everything in between. I'm proud to provide an individualized experience for what each player wants and needs.

GM Style

My style is generally personalized to what my players want. That said, I enjoy running difficult but dynamic combat, getting players involved in a living, reactive world, and using my vast library of character voices. I love when characters beat the odds, overcome challenges, beat the BBEG with their last spell slot--or do something creative that I never would have imagined!
