I am the Forever GM, but I've grown to like it. For at least 8 years now I have funneled my passion for tabletop gaming into running games professionally for ESL students to help them improve their creative writing and life skills. While playing with kids is fun, I do miss running games for adults. When I'm not running games, I spend much of my time writing, drawing, teaching, or taking care of my daughter.

How Torval runs games
While I enjoy all aspects of the Tabletop experience, my favourite element of role-play is being able to present my players with a fleshed-out world for them to explore and interact with. I spend much of my prep-time insuring that the meta-plot I present players with is fully fleshed out and falls in line with NPC motivations. Whether players choose to follow those threads is entirely up to them. At the table I tend to be highly permissive with my players so long as their decisions don't negatively impact anyone else at the table. I appreciate the freedom of choice that this medium gives players and actively encourage role-play and creative problem solving. Since I've put in thousands of hours as a professional GM, I am capable of accommodating almost any player expectations. -I am set up to include ambient sounds and music. -I can do voice acting. -I have multiple map making tools to provide custom encounter areas. -As a graphic designer and cartoonist, I am more than prepared to create supplementary materials, images, and illustrations for my players. -I can easily adapt my style and stories to lean toward any of the three pillars of TTRPGS: Combat, Social, or Exploration.
