About me
Hello, I am Crazy Ivan, and I have been a DM for more than eight years now. According to my long time players, I'm a caring and invested DM, whose specialty lies in crafting highly personal stories and creating opportunities for interesting interactions with the game world. And if there is anyone I trust, it's my own players.
GM Style
While I deeply enjoy DMing combat and designing dungeons, what I'm really here for is the story, and crafting it together with my players. There's nothing that I'm interested more than in seeing how the players react to unexpected twists, how they overcome challenges, how they decide who are their friends, and who are their enemies. To me, an interesting and highly personal story is the key element of any campaign.

I have been playing in a game DM'ed by Ivan for a year and a half. Before joining this game, I had not played D&D since 3.5. Ivan is very knowledgeable about the rules and is patient with newcomers. He thinks *a lot* about both game mechanics and story line and it's fun playing with someone who takes the game so seriously.

Ivan knows his shit. The games have a depth and breadth that I haven't encountered in other other campaigns. His improve and character acting are top notch. Highly recommend.

Ivan is a great storyteller and is great at pacing a campaign. He knows the rules and is good at keeping things balanced. He is also working on a home brew campaign; he has been working on the worldbuilding for as long as I've known him, He cares about his players experience.

Ivan is a great story teller who is also creative in world building. He created a city that matches the aesthetic and tone of Curse of Strahd campaign that I am in. He accommodates for his players. Via communication, I was able to play in a nonconventional way and try out alternate character builds. Ivan is passionate of his work and I will recommend him for anyone who wants to participate in a grand story telling with a well blend of combats.

What is great about Ivan's brand of DM'ing is that he ensures that his players have their characters involved with the world around them. For me, he is running Curse of Strahd and looks to the characters we create. Once created, he presents an anchor point for how the PC comes to be involved in the mystery of Barovia. Trust me when I say that every PC's entry point into Barovia plays out very differently. Even though he's running a module for my game, he isn't afraid to add his own twist to the world of Barovia. I would very much recommend Crazy Ivan if you want a DM who wants to have their players engaged with the world, especially if you're a type of player who wants their characters feel like they belong in the world rather than just feeling like they were just dropped into the game like a video game character.
