About me

I have been playing RPGs since 1988, and started GMing after my second session playing, out of necessity. My first game played/owned was Palladium's "Teenage Mutant Turtles and Other Strangeness" and then into D&D B/X for a year before settling into AD&D 2e. Over the years I've run Rifts, Heroes unlimited, Mage the Ascension, Shadowrun, Battletech, Earthdawn, D&D 3e, BasicFantasy but these days I mostly prefer GURPS. I enjoy high action, dangerous adventures with team oriented challenges and the real possibility of character death.

GM style

I GM for the action, excitement, strategy and the teamwork aspect of RPGs. I can enjoy and appreciate puzzles, mysteries, exploration and social scenes, but I am having the most fun when I am able to engage and challenge the entire party in a nail biting, seat-of-your-pants, I-don't-know-if-we're-getting-out-of-this-one sort of scenario. ACTION and DANGER is the name of the game for me. This inevitably leads to character deaths, some are needless, many are epic. Either way, they make for memorable stories, add a sense of danger and often help to galvanize the group. If your PC dies, you can rejoin almost immediately with a new character of equal level.
