Connor was my first DM and ignited my love for D&D. I was nervous at first as I'd never played any ttrpgs before or roleplayed at all. As it happens I need not have worried. He is incredibly patient, helpful and encouraging with new players. He is a descriptive storyteller and creates beautifully elaborate and vast universes for your characters to explore and interact with. One of my favourite moments was what he did for my first character he took part in my backstory, about my dwarven clan had a history of hunting, when the party went back to meet my clan it was just as the war broke out between the Dragons. His description of the scene was so beautiful and mesmerising the whole table was spellbound as we sat in astounded silence as the scene unfolded in our collective imagination. It was almost like watching a cut-scene or a clip from a movie. We all felt totally immersed like we were seeing it through the eyes of our characters. It was amazing! He also creates very well fleshed out NPC's who fit their position while being unique, funny & interesting.
Connor is honestly a one of a kind DM. I was lucky enough to have him teach me how to play in a “noob session” he ran in our local gaming cafe in Liverpool. This ultimately turned into an 14 month campaign. I’ve been playing with Connor for about 3 years and I’ve got to know him as a DM, player and friend. He is a born story teller with lore that is comprehensive and so easy to get lost in. His NPCs are so adaptable to any situation. They can be deep and sinister, they can be entertaining and comical. But they’re always memorable. Some of the plot twists that Connor has had planned since day one have had a huge impact on the players months later, and every single game leaves us talking about it for at least an hour afterwards. Connor is adaptable. If you want something that’s lighthearted and funny, dark and gritty, disturbing and scary: he will deliver. You would be lucky to be in a game of his.
