About me

Hello and welcome to my profile, my name is Colm and I'm a professional Dungeon Master for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. A little bit about me, I'm 25 years old and have been playing D&D for about 8 years (most of that time as a DM), I come from Ireland but live in Portugal so my timezone is GMT+0. Before I ever started playing D&D I was curious, I had heard of it and knew that it was a more roleplay centered and fantasy version of Warhammer 40K. When I joined my first game as a player I fell in love and quickly bought the core books and began building what is now a sizeable collection of materials. After about 2 months of playing I began DMing for a small group of close friends and the rest is history. I like to run games both in pre-built settings and in my own homebrew world, to me D&D should be a fun and roleplay centered experience with an interactive and responsive world and NPCs that have memorable voices and personalities. Campaigns I currently run: -The Graht Forg Chronicles; An arch-based homebrew game based in the world of Bhérdón Rés! -The Father of Night; A horror, mystery homebrew game based in the world of Bhérdón Rés! -The Lost Mines of Phandelver; A pre-made game based in The Sword Coast and geared towards new and returning players! -Out of the Abyss; A pre-made game based in the northern Underdark of The Sword Coast and focusing on a demon incursion! About my constructed world. It is called Bhérdón Rés and I have been creating it since I was about 15 years old, since that time it has developed into a never ending project and obsession despite it's humble beginnings as a rip off of Middle Earth and Westeros. I have written a number of short stories and poems that use this world as a setting and am currently writing a novel which is intended to be the first of a series. Bhérdón Rés has world maps, races, a monotheistic religion (as well as a few polytheistic tribal religions), detailed histories and family trees, a constructed language (eventually more), and way more smaller details that would take up more space to explain than I have here. I can't wait to hear from you!

GM Style

My favourite aspects of D&D are roleplaying and improvisation. I love doing character voices and changing my body language and manner to suit the character I'm RPing. I enjoy battles but in large part my games will be more RP centred and battles will take place on Roll20.
