About Brian

Hi, I'm Brian Fogler—a U.S. Navy veteran, indie fantasy author, lifelong tabletop gamer, and professional Game Master with over 15 years of tabletop RPG experience. Over the years, I've successfully run five campaigns, including one long-term campaign and four mini-campaigns, creating adventures filled with memorable characters, meaningful choices, and cinematic storytelling. My goal is simple: make every player feel like the hero of their own story. I primarily run Pathfinder 2e Remaster and Starfinder 2e, while also having experience with Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 and 5th Edition. I use Foundry VTT to deliver immersive games with dynamic maps, lighting, music, and visual effects that bring every adventure to life. Outside the gaming table, I'm the creator of Salona Kingdom, my original homebrew world and the setting for my fantasy novel series, The Saga of Cyrus Salona, beginning with The Boy Who Woke the Dragon. Building living worlds is my passion, and I bring that same level of depth and creativity into every campaign I run. I'm also the founder of RPG Misfits, a growing tabletop gaming community and brand dedicated to bringing players together through imagination, collaboration, and unforgettable adventures.

How Brian runs games

My GM Style 🎭 60% Roleplay ⚔️ 40% Tactical Combat You'll find rich roleplay, memorable NPCs, strategic encounters, immersive worldbuilding, and stories where your choices truly matter. Whether you're brand new to tabletop RPGs or a seasoned veteran, I strive to create a welcoming table where everyone has a chance to shine.

Brian's ideal table

Your ideal table is a group of people who actually want to build something together. You want players who can laugh, get ridiculous, take a wild chance because it sounds awesome, and then completely lock in when the story turns serious, emotional, or dangerous. You want people who care about their characters, care about the world around them, and just as importantly, care about the other players getting their moment too. You’re not looking for people who only show up to roll dice and kill things. You want curious players who investigate the locked door, talk to the strange NPC, make the unexpected choice, and occasionally derail your carefully prepared plans with an idea so good that you reward them for it. Roleplay matters. Combat matters. Consequences matter. But fun is always the reason everyone is there.
