About Pixxy
Hi, my name is Isaac and I am a player-focused game master who has been playing Dungeons and Dragons for about 8 years at this point. I specialize in creating unique settings for each adventure and prioritizing player choice and influence. I like to experiment with different settings, game systems, and tones. Typically, I will homebrew most of my settings and tailor the adventure to characters' backstories and in-game choices.

How Pixxy runs games
My campaigns tend to be on the shorter end, and the balance of roleplay/combat will depend on the setting and tone. I tend to run games based on whatever genre is currently my hyperfixation, which leads to a lot of experimentation. I like to tailor my games to the specific group I’m playing with by establishing everyone's goals and expectations for the game, and allowing player decisions to lead to many unique outcomes. When it comes to encounters, I prioritize creative problem-solving and intelligent enemies in combat. Finally, I use rules as guidelines for making the game fun not as limits to said fun, meaning the rule of cool coexists with rules as written at my table.

I deal with rules issues by...
Making a temporary ruling in order to keep sessions moving, but with the expectation that later it will be solidified based on further research on the specific rule, and communication with players.
My favorite trope is...
When heroes have to make hard choices when given multiple morally dubious options.
When it comes to voices
I like to do silly voices or use accents to differentiate characters. If my players want to join in I enjoy that, but it is never an expectation
Pixxy's ideal table
Being respectful of people's identities, being able to privately but honestly communicate if there is an issue, and actively playing/talking with the group. I always love it when players surprise me, and are active in trying to solve mysteries and make theories.

I think min/maxing...
Is a valid playstyle that, depending on how extreme, may not be fit for my games.
