About Matthew Bray
I've been playing D&D since High School and running it consistently almost weekly for over 3 years now. I started DMing after many of my friends' campaigns fell through over the course of High School and dedicated myself to learning by watching actual plays and advice channels such as Critical Role and Matt Colville, and since have been bitten by the TTRPG bug, specifically for 5e. I'm a pretty passionate guy with a respect for the medium and storytelling as a whole, and I'd love to be able to spread my favorite hobby with some others! I also think that playing with others will help me grow as a DM and experience the different kinds of players, characters, and stories that I haven't yet gotten to. With running 5e for so long, I have a good grasp of its positive and negative traits, and try my best to make do with what I'm able to. I enjoy the three pillars of D&D and have solid recollection of most rules and rulings. And while I enjoy all three pillars I'd have to say the social pillar is my favorite. The best part is seeing an evolving dynamic between the party and their interactions with each other and the world at large and allowing them to tell their story with the aid of their players and myself. I enjoy a game with a good story, good characters (not just character *sheets*), and a fun time. But yeah, let's roll some dice!

My favorite shows/movies are
Breaking Bad, RE:Zero, Daredevil (Netflix), and probably whatever show/movie I've watched somewhat recently (how do you decide on a concrete list man!)
How Matthew Bray runs games
If I'm running a homebrew campaign, I enjoy a decently linear narrative style game with buildup towards a large conflict ending in a massive fight every so often. If it's a premade adventure, then I mostly run as written, occasionally adding or changing things in a more unique or interesting way.
