About Grimório de Mesa
I’ve been playing tabletop RPGs since my high school days, but my love for creating stories in fantastical worlds goes back much further. Ever since I was a child, I’ve been drawn to “play pretend” games, inventing characters, adventures, and entire worlds in my imagination. Later, through a group of friends, I discovered Tormenta, a Brazilian RPG system. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to introduce it to another group of friends, stepping into the role of Game Master for the first time in this new system. It was a challenge, but also an incredible experience. Now, I’m almost a “Forever DM”. I’m deeply fascinated by vast, immersive fantasy universes like League of Legends' Runeterra, Greek mythology, Norse mythology, and anything that deals with the divine and the gods. These themes often find their way into my games, whether in the worlds I create or the characters I bring to life.

How Grimório de Mesa runs games
My campaigns tend to focus less on combat and more on character interaction. Something closer to what Matthew Mercer does in Critical Role, though there’s still plenty of action at the table. I lean toward a more dramatic style, building cliffhangers and weaving the story around the backstories my players create. I bring their personal histories into the very core of the adventure’s narrative, making their pasts and choices feel deeply relevant to the world around them. Players can expect me to explore their stories in intimate ways. Sometimes it will lead to tears or moments of despair, but also to unforgettable, beautiful experiences that their characters will cherish. For me, RPGs are far more than combat mechanics; they’re about the shared experience and the story we build together, a living tale shaped by both the Game Master and the players.
