About Gwen

I'm a longtime fan of all things RPG. I used to watch my dad and his friends play Advanced DnD when I was younger and grew a love for fantasy systems from there. I've been a DM for DnD 5th edition for about 5 years and ran 2 different 12 session campaigns and plenty of smaller adventures until I began running campaigns for Pathfinder Remastered. At that time I had no experience with playing pathfinder or even watching it, I just got busy reading the core books, going through podcasts and exploring the world of Golarion. That was years ago and while I still admittedly have a good bit to learn when it comes to Pathfinder 2e I've run 2 campaigns and plenty of oneshots. I've also run numerous sessions of Cyberpunk Red using the older 2020 adventure books converted to Red. I love almost any system and RPG game. The only thing I lack right now is admittedly players.

I got started GMing...

The same way most people do, I wanted to play TTRPGs but didn't know any GMs so I became one myself.

My favorite system of all Time is

Pathfinder 2e

The three words my players would use to describe me are...

Thorough, Friendly, and Creative.

How Gwen runs games

I like player freedom and impactful choices. When I'm a GM I like to think of myself as the narrator working with the players to create a fun and engaging story. My most common philosophy when I'm the GM is if my players want to do something that's outlandish or strange, explain it to me, and then explain why you should be allowed to do this strange outlandish thing. Get me on your side. With a good enough argument I'll allow most things. I love session zero to talk with people about there choices and I love when players surprise me. I can be harsh though as I also like crafting complex and challenging encounters when the time calls for it. At the end of the day however these are just games and it's my hope that I can make them fun for the players.
