About me
Hi there! I'm Thimo and when I learnt about TTRPGs in 2017 a whole new world opened up for me, now I'm hoping to be able to assist you in opening up one of your own. I want to do this by running the game that you want to play in. The most important thing to me is having a group that feels comfortable to communicate what they are looking for in the game at all times, so I can facilitate that experience. 👤About Me👤 🇩🇪 From Munich, Germany 👴 24 years old 📖 Studying Engineering, Sociology & Political Science (no I don't sleep) 📚 Love reading when I find the time and headspace (Stephen King, Stormlight Archive, 3 Body Problem are some favorites) 🎵 Like edgy screaming music (Bring Me The Horizon, The Plot In You, Imminence type bands) 🎲TTRPGs🎲 - Started around 2017 - Chronic Forever DM - Watched a ton of Critical Role - Worked for years with dysfunctional friend group to turn it into a healthy two year running campaign - Experience mostly in Pathfinder 2e, wanna get into DnD and Daggerheart - Got around 80+ sessions experience - Looking to improve every aspect of my game here, so all feedback is welcome 😄 ⚠️Woke Alert⚠️ I am a fairly political person. I don't mind different opinions, however some things are non-negotiables to me, especially when they could directly concern other players. Any forms of bigotry (racism, sexism, queerphobia) will be addressed at the table immediately, you can act them out in the privacy of your own bedroom.
GM Style
I will always run a Session 0 to figure out what preferences the group has in terms of style, personal comfort and content. Communication is key, so never shy away to tell me whats on your mind, we'll work it out! If you tell me to just do my thing I will likely subconsciously gravitate towards the following: ❗Priorities❗ My games feature regular combat, but my main focus is spotlighting the player characters and how they face the challenges of the world with their unique personality and skillset. I'd say it's a good mix between mechanics and roleplay. I love following the players through "creative problem solving" mode, so that is often part of my games. 🎨Favorite Themes 🎨 In my home game I like to explore themes of societal conflict, struggles for power, secret societies or cults, corruption of morals and other aspects of the human condition. 🌆 Settings 🏞️ I usually run games in my own homebrew world, the Mosaic, which is the ultimate kitchen sink setting. It includes anything really, that can be considered high fantasy. If we play in this world I'd love to involve the table in the worldbuilding process. I am also open to run different settings if that is what the group prefers. ➡️Linearity ➡️ I like running my games as sandboxes where adventures, alliances, plans etc. can be freely chosen. I then prepare that content as adventures with some linearity, but meaningful decisions.
