About me

Hey, I’m Dale. I’ve been running games in 5e Dungeons & Dragons for over 5 years and playing for nearly a decade. While I’m familiar with multiple TTRPG systems, I focus on 5e for its flexibility, accessibility, and ability to support deep storytelling. I specialize in crafting atmospheric adventures built on strong narrative foundations, layered intrigue, and a lived-in, reactive world. My games emphasize roleplay, character-driven decisions, and meaningful world interaction, enhanced by carefully curated music, ambient soundscapes, and custom-crafted visuals in Foundry VTT. I run a mix of original campaigns and polished module-based adventures, including: - Tarnbrook Vale: Stories Between the Pines – A cryptid-focused, sandbox horror setting inspired by folklore, monster-of-the-week episodes, and creeping mystery. - Cyndrus: The Shrouded Throne – A high fantasy world of lost gods, ancient ruins, and political tensions—ripe for exploration and dungeon crawling. - Steinhardt's Guide to the Eldritch Hunt – A grimdark, Bloodborne-inspired setting steeped in Lovecraftian cosmic horror and existential dread. Whether players are looking for narrative one-shots, investigative mysteries, or long-form campaigns, I offer tailored, engaging experiences for groups of up to 6 players (with an ideal party size of 3–4 to spotlight individual agency and interaction). I encourage players of all skill levels, beginners and veterans alike.

GM Style

The games I run have a huge focus on teamwork and cooperation, with a heavy focus on role play and organic interactions within a living world. My games tend to have a focus on survival and exploration mechanics, and can shift from high fantasy to cosmic/eldritch horror. Some games may be focused on hexploration or dungeon crawls, while others may focus on solving mysteries and investigations or be more of a monster-of-the-week style of game. I do love to integrate characters into my personal settings in some way, working with them to integrate their ideas into the world. I do engage with deadly but fair combat, though combat alone is not a sole focus of the games I run.
