About me

Hello! I have been been PermaDM since I started playing. Not really bothered by it at all. I love playing the characters and NPCs the players meet. Playing around and taking it to it's max level of silliness, or seriousness. I am a visual and action based DM. I make maps. I love making maps to be explored. All kinds of maps and sizes. Get lost in the jungle! Find the sewer system that was long ago abandoned and somehow still functions at 70% of the homes. I am looking for a mix bag of players; New players that want to learn the ropes on how a game can be run on Roll20 and Discord. A few DM veteran players that would like to take a break from having to come up with everything. I enjoy theatre of the mind as much as anyone. For 1 or 2 moments. Not the entire game. Again I use maps. I go where the player takes me. I get prepared and have a few sidelined quests and arcs depending on where you go. Yes the main story and consequences will follow. I like to play with people that enjoy chaos. That don't mind a little evil in the group. A little "fuck around and find out" energy if you would. This has and always will be my favorite thing to do in Dungeons and Dragons. What would happen if I decided to disrespect the queen of this land? What if we did an entire takeover of the city? It has happened and is currently happening on a different campaign. I enjoy world building with others. Creating a shop and having that shop become a favorite in the group. A favorite food, npc, or location can make the game seem more real. If you think this messy message is the type of thing that you find appealing I'd love to hear from you so we can get a great long term game going.

GM Style

First I want it to be noted; I hate railroading. I enjoy roleplaying and playing off of each other. Want to argue? Ok. Let's escalate it to a fight, muaha! Want to have a drinking contest?! Let's go! I am very open and easy going. I don't have boundaries as far as how detailed I/we can get. I don't fade to black unless you want to. I talk fast, I think fast, I react fast. I love making maps and having players explore them. Doors, stairs, windows, cellars. Several entrances and exits to several interlocking sections. Theatre of the mind be damned! I want my players to move the token, use what you find. I like to play with voices when I can and enjoy hearing others share voices and characters. I play how I want to play and that usually means bending a rule here and there to make an epic scene; I'll allow it. Want to be the one to discover steam power? the 1st to invent the bullet? the car? the plane? a spaceship? Only you and I can find out and make it happen.
