About me

I have been a dungeon master for nearly two decades and the reason I wanted to start is the reason I continue to do it today, It's fun. I am a dungeon master who loves having random/powerful/funny things thrown my way. I have always found the fun part of playing and running games (mainly DND) not 100% knowing what's coming next. I love it when players feel empowered to just run with crazy ideas or to do something they think will make a fun story. I truly believe in the rule of cool and think that nothing should get in the way of a good story. The storytelling element of TTRPGs is what makes the unique but I do not lose the fact that we are playing a game together. I have run long-term campaigns in a 100% homebrew world, iv ran various modules and shorter content. Iv ran Horror, Survival, Epic Adventure, and just plain silly games. Nothing is more important than everyone at the table having fun, I will never apologise for bending or ignoring a rule to facilitate that. The wonderful thing about TTRPGs is coming together and having a great time playing the game that will tell a great story! Hope to see you at one of my games real soon!

GM Style

As a GM I always aim to just bring fun, whacky and cool moments to the table. I like to prep with a player and come up with fun encounters and story arcs around the types of things they want to see play out. I like to paint scenes with major details but leave finer narration to render and develop with my table. I will implement the rule of cool when I think the rules are getting in the way of something fun. While I adore the storytelling element of the games I play I always remain focused on it being a game. If I feel that players are being isolated in a moment I always look to get them involved. I thoroughly believe in everyone getting good spotlight time and telling their story within the game. I tend to try and balance my games, having frequently run for different preferences, with traps/puzzles/combat and roleplay, a healthy balance of all.
