About me

Hey all! I've been bouncing around this crazy planet for a while now, but no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to shake the role-playing bug. Navigating the rocky waters of high school, I picked up 3.5 Dungeons&Dragons and two games later I was GM'ing my own games. Fast forward through college, marriage, kids...and here I am, still crafting my own worlds for others to explore and grow inside. Different edition, same game. I find myself at a new crossroads, and I want you to join me. I want to take my high fantasy adventures to a new level, exploring D&D 5e with people from all walks of life. I want to create planes of existence with others, and forge new stories. The more people you meet and cooperate with, the more they shake things up. And I've found that rules and structure form a foundation for stable world, but chaos is the spice of life!

GM Style

Role-play: 5 Combat: 4 Exploration: 3 Puzzles: 1 I love to immerse myself in the story that's being told, taking the characters on an adventure of the world and themselves. Because of this I tend towards more role-play heavy games. I try to make sure a combat takes place at regular intervals, but not at the expense of the story. If a group likes to interact together, I let it play out. If they would prefer to get on with the quest, I provide the right tools to get them on their way. In combat, I like to follow the rules as closely as I can. However, I will always try to make sure great ideas can flourish. Sometimes that means asking the other players at the table what they find fair in a ruling, and sometimes it means fudging/flavoring an action to make a cool thing happen. A GM may be the arbiter of the rules, but I believe that it benefits everyone to have a say when it comes to neat narrative story beats or very epic character moments.
