About Reyn KS LeBeau
My name is Reyn KS LeBeau and I am a freelance TTRPG writer, professional gamemaster, podcaster, and amateur sound-designer from the US! I have been running games since 2010 and I have loved every moment of it. I have credits working for Green Ronin, Evil Genius Games, and have my name on projects for Pathfinder Infinite and the AGE Creator's Alliance. I specialize in trying to transport my players into the world they are taking part in, making it feel real with improv, sound effects, and music. I use colorful maps and art (some of which I do myself) to show you the world you're standing in, and making it react to you and your companions' actions. I want a player to feel like the world is always alive, even when they aren't there to see it, that the world will go on without them but it is better for having you here. I specialize in Fantasy AGE, the Dragon Age RPG, Pathfinder 1e and 2e, Star Wars Saga Edition, and Dungeons and Dragons 5e, and I split my time between running pre-written adventures and my homebrew high fantasy setting, Vitaeoth. I am a 5-star GM for 1st edition Pathfinder Society and working on my glyphs for 2nd edition Pathfinder Society. My inspirations include Final Fantasy, Dragon Age, the Tales of series, Kingdom Hearts, Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Phantasy Star, Star Wars, Metal Gear, Darksiders, and Sonic the Hedgehog.

I got started GMing...
way back in high school when a friend made a homebrew Final Fantasy RPG and I offered to run a session. I started GMing myself with the Star Wars Saga Edition RPG (still one of my favorites) and I ran three campaigns that were all part of the same adventure. Surely I learned to not do that again...
My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be
Fantasy Age 2nd edition (I have my own setting), Pathfinder 2nd edition (just a ton of fun), and the Dragon Age RPG (I have so many ideas).
When I'm not running games I'm...
raising a beautiful daughter with my beautiful spouse, writing in the TTRPG industry, publishing my own setting with adventures and setting books, listening to Sonic the Hedgehog music at normal volumes, playing with a very queer Free Company in Final Fantasy XIV, and thinking about GMing.
How Reyn KS LeBeau runs games
First and foremost, I focus on bringing a world to life. Action scenes, exploration, social intrigue, mass battles, and more are all in service to giving the world color and personality. The world sees the heroes walking through it and reacts to their actions and remembers what they have done. I try to strike a strong balance between roleplay and tactical play. I love encounters with depth and strategy and occasionally an uncomplicated slugfest. I love running intriguing social encounters and giving the heroes a big map to explore. I love incorporating a hero's past in their present circumstances. On my best days I include a healthy mix of encounter types: action, exploration, and social. I will avoid fights in square rooms with no features where each side kicks each other in the shins until someone falls over. I will fade to black with explicit scenes involving sexual encounters and will change my descriptions of violence and gore to suit my table (although I am not particularly fond of gore myself). I encourage the use of safety tools at my tables, including the X Card method and will include a diverse cast of NPCs from many heritages and genders and species to interact with.

I prep by
rehearsing dialogue while I do housework, imagining my next favorite scene as music blasts in the car, formatting my notes like I'm writing for a job (not a grand idea), and pouring over my map collections to see which awesome maps I can get away with using this time.
My favorite trope is...
heroes overcoming overwhelming odds by the skin of their teeth and playing some sick background music when they do it.
Rules are...
one half of the game, that have to shake hands firmly with the story we want to tell. If they won't play along, they get out of the way.
