About me

Forever DM... because that's the way I like it. So let's get a game going!

GM Style

Do you like your games fast-paced and free-wheeling? Do you like quick, streamlined combat mixed with creative roleplay that actually influences the storyline? Me too! My games are almost completely theater of the mind - and when I run a campaign, I don't just INCORPORATE your backstory into the campaign, your backstory CREATES the campaign. That's what makes TTPRGs great (otherwise, why not just play a video game?) When I run a game, your choices matter and change the world for better or worse. At the end of every session I ask the group what they want to do next session, and that's how I plan my prep. So homebrew adventures are the rule (I've never actually run a published adventure before, because who doesn't love going off the rails?) - but what about homebrew rules? I have only one rule about rules: if a rule makes the game boring, the rule gets cut. Why waste time on boring stuff just because the rules say so? And my philosophy is that players shouldn't have to memorize rules or "learn" how to play the game, per se. Or at least players should be able to keep that to a minimum. Sure you need to know how your spells/talents/items work - but who likes reading rulebooks (except for me)? So you'll never feel intimidated by a game system if I'm your gamemaster. I strive to run a game that is fair and reasonable for everyone at the table - so we can focus on fun. If you see a game system I run and want to setup a campaign for you and your friends, DM me and let's get it going!
