Want to play a game where you feel like you and your characters matter? Where exciting adventures, wacky hijinks, fun and friendship abound? Then let me, DM Jason, run your next game! I have been a DM for over 5 years now. From homebrew to hardcover, from Adventurer's League to at-home to online, I love running this game in whatever form I can. My goal when running is to maximize fun at the table. I take great care to find out what my players find the most fun as fast as possible, and curate the campaign to fit. Whether you love the journey, the destination, the monsters you fought or the friends you made along the way, I will make sure you get the most out of my game. I am happy to run a wide range of genres and tones in a game. If you want your game to feel like Saturday morning cartoons, I'm your guy. If you want to experience fear and dread in a horror-themed game, then make sure to buy a nightlight for after my session. Steampunk, sci-fi, fantasy, horror; magical, moral, philosophical, or nonsensical; I will make sure you are having the time of your life!

GM Style

My games feature moderate roleplay and carefully-placed, meaningful combat encounters. My focus tends to be on the story the PCs are telling, with their actions often being the catalyst for important story events (this is in opposition to linear, or railroad stories). I love doing silly voices and sound effects. I get a kick out of improvising the dumbest name for an NPC I didn't think would be asked. While I am certainly comfortable running games that feature dark themes and subject matter, I try to keep the fun. I pride myself on being able to balance the mechanically busted and the intentionally suboptimal at the same time. I am always open to homebrew, just run it by me first for approval. I love to provide opportunities for PCs to find or craft powerful and sometimes game-breaking items, and I am adept at making sure everyone at the table is equally powerful and valuable in the way they want to be. I take player's needs very seriously. If there is subject matter that you do not want explored in a game, I will make sure it never comes up. I want my games to be a time of fun, safety and inclusion.
