Hi, my name is LoRen and I've been playing D&D for about 6 years since being introduced to the Cyberpunk 2020 TTRPG in 2018 by watching games online. I then played the Sunless Citadel 5e module that my debate teacher ran and started DMing games for my friends after running/playing in a couple online through Roll20. I switched out online play to hone my homebrew craft to make a better experience for my friends and eventually started the basics of starting a system from the 5e homebrew I'd built up. The WOTC controversy made me apathetic towards running 5e but then was pulled back in by some roommates and then switched to MOTW and Daggerheart more recently. I can run either of the three easily while also wanting to get into other systems I've bought, like Pathfinder 2e or Call of Cthulhu (which I wouldn't charge for).

GM Style

I've been GMing for 5 years, I would describe my style as homebrew-heavy but mainly in the service toward the narrative of each character's backstory as well as their interests in the world as a whole. If a character were an assassin and wanted to get into illegal poison brewing then I'd focus on fleshing out the poisonous fauna in the area. Even if the group were to pick a system like Monster of the Week, I would try to flesh out the type of Magic you are using or special gadgets your Professional is getting from their agency. I will go above and beyond to tell the perfect story for your group by personalizing every member's wants out of gameplay.
