About Chris
I am an Australian teacher who has over a decade of experience with ttrpg, both as a player and Storyteller, across well over a dozen systems. When I run games, I endeavour to strike a firm balance between the game mechanics and rule of cool, often letting the game system guide how much I lean into one or the other. Ultimately, the fun and safety of everyone on the table is my top priority, so I try to reach a consensus on game expectations in Session 0 and utilize tools like lines and veils to ensure my players are having a consistently good time.

How Chris runs games
I like to utilize the game system as much as possible for consistent rulings and mechanics. I love a mix of roleplay and roll-play; that is to say, I understand that not everyone needs to be a professional actor to enjoy ttrpg. One does not need to perform an amazing speech for me when their character has the Skills necessary to do so; though is you want to, I am here for it! I also don't fudge dice rolls. There are some systems in which danger and consequences are part of the appeal and I try not to detract from those aspects of the game.
