About me
Hiya! My name is Oliver! I've been running and playing TTRPGs for over a decade, and I have a degree in Creative Writing. I specialize in running games with new players and bringing them into this hobby. I've been moving away from D&D and have had a hunger for exploring new systems like Vampire: The Masquerade, Kids on Brooms, Ryuutama, and more!
GM Style
I'm in the camp that this is a storytelling game and that everyone is working to make this the best story we can. Depending on the system, I may try my best to put a cap on how much combat there is, like adding a "Three Turn Rule".

Storytelling
Oliver's games have always mixed a good amount of fun and tension, and allowed for some amazing group storytelling that none of us could have ever dreamed of on our own. I have played probably 30+ games with him to date, because he is consistent but also full of surprises. As an artist, the characters that I love to draw the most are ones that I made for Oliver's tabletop games.
Oliver is a masterful storyteller who draws you into the worlds he describes immediately and is really good at working with you as a player to tell incredible stories. I’ve been shocked, scared, delighted, and every other possible emotion you could possibly feel playing in his games. As a player, I often have difficulty committing to and immersing myself in tabletops, but when Oliver is the DM I find myself getting excited and thinking about our next games weeks before they’re played. I’m lucky to call him my DM, and you would be too.
I've been playing TTRPGs with Oliver for several years now. I've been a player in games he's GMed the most, but I've also DMed for him and played with him in different games. Over the years Oliver has become one of my favourite GMs. I've had the privilege of being in several games he's run in a variety of settings, as well as game systems. One of Oliver's biggest strength is the diversity of genres he can cover. He doesn't JUST do traditional DnD-esque fantasy. Some of my favourite games with him contain urban fantasy (Vampire the Masquerade), modern superheroics (Masks), and even combat focused beat-em-up games (Panic at the Dojo). And these are just the games I've personally played with him, he's GMed several other systems too! Whatever kind of game you want to play, Oliver's probably already heard of and played it, and on the off-chance he hasn't he'd pick it up easily. But above all else, his greatest strength is his ability as a storyteller. He is creative and flexible, and committed to creating long-term and satisfying campaigns. He creates inclusive spaces, works with consent and content aversion sheets, and accommodates player needs and desires. Overall, if you want to have fun, Oliver will find a way for you to have fun in any game.
I’ve played multiple games with Oliver as the game master. He has always been extremely considerate of every player involved and incredibly creative with what we all bring to the table. He’s quick thinking, sharp, and never lets the game stagnate. I’ve never not wanted to play a game he runs and love the vibe he brings. Extremely respectful of boundaries and will always check in with you if something goes towards a boundary. If you’re new and are still unfamiliar with the rules he is more than willing to help you out. An awesome game master.
