About me
I’ve been GMing for several years now, having run and successfully concluded multiple campaigns, almost all of which can be viewed in their entirety on my YouTube channel, if you’re interested in a sample of how I do what I do. The three main systems I play are Alien: The Roleplaying Game, Twilight: 2000 4E, and Fantasy Flight Games/Edge’s Star Wars RPG, and I have sufficient knowledge of, and experience with, all of them as both a GM and a player.
GM Style
My general doctrine as a GM is prioritizing the enjoyment of the players, on a per-player basis. In other words, I generally hold players on an equal level, but if there's something I can do to make an experience better for someone, I'll do exactly that. Provided it doesn’t negatively impact someone else’s experience, I’m willing to make accommodations and meet you halfway, whether that’s reducing the severity of a critical injury if you dislike PC death, or incorporating backstory into the plot if there’s an opening for it, and so on. I also VERY heavily encourage – and reward – creativity and a good sense of humor. Another strength of mine is good knowledge of the series in which my games are set, so expect immersive stories that feel right at home in the setting and don’t outright shatter canon, but may bend it a bit for the sake of making things more fun for you and your fellow players. I run all of my games on a Foundry VTT cloud server, and I’ve been told I have good command of the software. If that sounds appealing, then let’s get gaming – I’d love to meet you and welcome you into my circle of players.

Knows the Rules
He know the rules of a system very well, so any players that want to play correctly by a specific system will have a good time here. Any and all custom rulings are mentioned at the start and are up for discussion if everyone agrees to them or not. He always encourage creative player solutions to get out of tricky situations. The world building and attention to detail within a story is on a high level, lending their rpg sessions to high narrative immersion. The sessions have a good balance between combat/dangerous encounters and roleplay. He use the Foundry VTT well and is experienced in running well paced and varied campaigns. I'd fully recommend him as a GM. After watching some of his videos, I reached out to him to see if I could join his campaign and I haven't regretted that since.
I've played in multiple campaigns run by Cody, and mostly these have been my first experiences in new systems. He knows the rules of the systems he runs very well (and is very helpful in learning them), but only sticks by them so much as they bring fun to the table. If a rule is too crunchy, difficult, or unfun (in the opinion of the group), they are modified or removed, and generally, that's the philosophy of the games: player focused. Primary story elements incorporate character backstories, creative or funny moments are rewarded and encouraged through rule of cool and system-based rewards (Story points, inspiration, rerolls, etc.), and the game is built around what the people at the table have interest in.
Have been in his games consistently for a long time now, Always a fun time. Is more focused on sessions being enjoyable and fun than strictly following the letter of the rules exactly, but doesn't take that too far. Every game has the Wild Wasteland perk on (if that makes sense). Can't think of a time he's cancelled a session, very reliable. Very knowledgeable of the systems used in games, I mean he authored a whole Expansion/Conversion for T2k 4e. Puts in a high amount of effort in prep. Can't recommend enough.
