About DmTaylor

One of the greatest enjoyments I have as a forever GM is seeing new players have those first moments where it clicks where they are immersed, and the thrill of roleplaying takes hold, and they go from an outside looking into a gamer. Things to know about me as a GM. I consider myself an organic style Game Master I focus on the choices the players have made and the logical results their effect would have on the game world your story will always matter your not a bit player in my narrative we are coauthors and that’s important to me. My strengths definitely lay in emersion and character development with realistic npcs and a living world feel, I pride myself on challenging combats that you will actually care about because your character has a reason to be involved. I love working with new and experienced role-players and am always looking for ways to improve my craft, while fostering an open welcoming safe and inclusive space for all experience levels to game together. I have been GMing for over 15 years in various game systems and am flexible and good on my feet.

I got started GMing...

at age 11 when I realized i was in the worst kind of group, and didn't want anyone one else to have to learn how to play like i did. I have been DM/GM/ST ing for over 20 years now

How DmTaylor runs games

I am an adaptive style GM with a mix of dark comedy gritty realism or whimsical high fantasy as the narrative calls for focusing on player co-operative storytelling and backstory growth being my favorites I am just as capable of a brutal crunchy organ grinder as a heartbreaking Character arch.

DmTaylor's ideal table

Story-first, character-driven, and emotionally rich. My games are built on collaborative storytelling where players’ choices matter, relationships have weight, and the world responds to what you do — for better or worse. I love drama, consequence, thematic arcs, and letting characters wrestle with both their shadows and their hopes. You’ll fit at my table if you: Love roleplay and character development Aren’t afraid of a little emotional depth or narrative tension Enjoy exploring themes like found family, personal growth, grief, power, and identity Want your backstory to matter to the plot Like a touch of darkness, a dash of myth, and a whole lot of queer magic The vibe is inclusive, immersive, and a little theatrical. We laugh a lot, we cry sometimes, and we lift each other up — because safety and trust at the table come first. I don’t do edge-lording or spotlight-hogging, and I don’t allow players who treat others like NPCs. We’re telling this story together, and I want everyone to feel seen, respected, and creatively energized. Come ready to care deeply about your character, about the world, and about each other. I promise it’ll be worth it.
