About Mason
Hello! I wanted to start hosting games because I love the hobby and I've already spent so much time invested in rules and gameplay I figured I'd share that with some others. I'm just about to graduate with a degree in theater performance, so I can definitely hold my own with roleplay, but I also know that isn't everyone's thing, and I respect that. My games always have an emphasis on making the characters and players feel cool. There will be no useless abilities or skills, and we can always work to homebrew some fun stuff. That doesn't mean I'm not afraid to challenge players either. Nothing is so unchallenging as a game where the players know the judge will not kill their characters. But I'm definitely here to have fun, goofs, and adventures.

How Mason runs games
I enjoy roleplay obviously because I have a lot of training in acting. I've been a Teacher Assistant for a 400 level improv class, so I'm also very patient with new learners for both roleplay and the numbers side of the game. I've DM'ed very fast and loose with the rules before and the players felt like superheroes, and I've run survival campaigns where they've had to count the number of rations, timekeep on lanterns, and short rests were needed and hit dice were rolled. I mainly conform to what we agree on in the session 0 I always run, with the only consistent thing about my DM style is my effort to make the players feel cool.
