well prepared, well planned and well personalized. I think it's because players like the fact that things were planned and not suddenly pulled from under the rug making reveals and things npcs or bosses do feel like it came out of no where.

How KingBasilisk runs games

My GMing style is only homebrewed campaigns because I like to have a grasp of every major and minor npc aswell as have complete control of their motivations and fears. This allows the players to enter a completely new world and interact with the world pushing the narrative forward but also bringing massive changes into the world as they effect the story.
