I became a GM because
The same reason I became an architect, I want to create something that people can interact with, that people can live in, and that they can change it a unique form of art, you can't get anywhere else to see a world being morphed by players, characters that you created, change because there actions.
People are always surprised when I tell them
That I make all of my maps, both world maps, visual aids, and battle maps, takes a lot of time and effort. It's always fun to see the player's reaction when I pull up a new battle map or a new world map.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Prepping for games, making maps, designing worlds, or working in my day job, which is an architect, getting to express my creativity in a different way.
How Avdull runs games
Role-Playing Enthusiast: I love bringing stories to life through detailed descriptions and varied character voices. Whether it's a mysterious ruin or a bustling city square, I aim to make every setting and character feel vivid and real. Story-First Focus:For me, the story always comes first. I enjoy crafting engaging scenarios that encourage player interaction, whether it's unraveling mysteries, making tough choices, or sharing quiet moments that shape the journey. Cinematic Combat: While combat isn't the centerpiece of my games, when it happens, I try to make it exciting and meaningful. I focus on encounters that tie into the story and give players a chance to shine. Flexible and Fun: Rules are important, but creativity and fun take priority at my table. If you want to try something unique or outside the box, I’m happy to make it work—just roll some dice, and we’ll see where it goes! I aim to create a welcoming and engaging environment where players can explore, take risks, and tell great stories together. Whether you're new to D&D or a seasoned adventurer, my goal is to make every session memorable and fun.

My games focus on...
The player, first and foremost the second thing is the player's mark on the world of the game. Cause and effect: every quest should affect the world, every interaction should be remembered, and every decision marked.
Rules are...
Important guidelines, but tools, most importantly, what might be restricting is an avenue for creativity, checks and balances for both the dungeon master and the player, working within and around the rules to produce the story, Is the main challenge.
When it comes to voices
Important and I have a diverse assortment of accent accents, voice types, characters to share, both stereotypical and subverting the stereotypes expected and unexpected. In an online game, the most important medium is audio, especially the voices, and it is a major focus in my games.
Avdull's ideal table
Open to all, focus on spotlighting every player at least once in a session. Providing something for everyone, I prefer to use maps, visual aids, background music, as well as NPCs with a lot of accents and many voices to bring life to the table. In addition to all of that, a Discord server for all the players to discuss, Participate in play by post, and get updated on new additions too the world, and changes to it.

I am for a vibe that's...
For exploration, side questing, the feeling that you can go anywhere and find something that is at least interesting to look at or be a part of, or better and new side quests, or tie into a player's backstory, a vibe of freedom and open-endedness.
I love it when a player
Is willing to participate in the world, especially in regards to things like back stories, the more that the player gives into the campaign, the more that they should expect to get back.
I think it's a red flag when players...
A player wants to be the only main character. The whole party is the main character, and every player deserves their time to shine. Those who constantly interrupt, talk over other players, or insert themselves in situations or conversations where not meant to them, are not welcome at my table.
