About me
My first introduction to D&D was in book form. During my 8th holiday season my uncle gifted me a large collection of fantasy books including The Darkelf Trilogy, The IWD Trilogy and the Legacy of the Drow as well as The Dragonlance Chronicles. After reading through most of the collection, I started playing the following year learning AD&D 2nd edition and then two years later 3e/3.5e when it released. I have a deep appreciation for fantasy and science fiction literature and films. I have read most of The Legend of Drizzt novels that have been released up to this point (I'm on the novel Timeless in the series currently) Aside from reading, I also homebrew adventures, make maps and give advice on running the game and playing. I have been DMing for the past 10 years and have thousands of hours of experience running the game. All my games are friendly towards people of color and LGBTQIA friendly as well.
GM Style
I like a good mix of roleplay, mystery, combat and dungeon exploration. I am great at painting a picture with words and giving good descriptions of rooms and locations within site based adventures and bringing npcs/monsters to life. I enjoy challenging combats, traps and a great story.

Alan is a wonderful GM and a close personal friend of mine. We have been gaming together for years. I would recommend him to anyone. Funny, inclusive, easy going and he has a great understanding of the rules. He also takes a huge amount of time developing the settings his games take place in whether prepublished or homebrew.
I don't know if this is technically allowed reviewing myself but I would like to think so. I am meticulous in my creation of the campaign. I research or build all the town locations, npc factions, dungeons and have an outstanding understanding of the ruleset. I'm also comfortable making rules up on the fly when necessary to keep the game moving forward smoothly and without interruption. I am accepting and tolerant of others at my table and inclusive of people of color and the lgbtqia+. I make room for player creativity within my games and provide a truly immersive experience.
I played in a free campaign Alan ran about a year ago and this guy is a great GM. He is funny, inclusive, intelligent and great at improv. He really takes time to cultivate the world the characters get to explore. There is always a legion of dynamic npcs, interesting locations, and a great story. I would rate Alan a 9/10 because there is always room for improvement.
Alan is a very patient DM. Great with new players and has a relaxed DMing style. He also has a great understanding of the lore of the prepublished settings such as The Forgotten Realms, Greyhawk, and Golarion. He gives great narrative descriptions of npcs, locations and events and really gives purpose to the factions operating in the game world. Its easy to tell this DM loves what he does and puts an incredibly large amount of effort into the production of his games. I would rate him 5/5.
