How Cavin Eggleston runs games
I tend to favor a game where players get to have control of the game. One of my favorite things is adapting the story in collaboration with the players and finding ways to highlight each player's character. I am very much a fan of comedic and organic moments that create memorable experiences.

Sometimes we need a ruling to make the game session flow smoothly. We all are folks that are trying and there's a LOT to remember in a game. Mistakes will happen. Reflection, communication, and adjusting as needed are all important parts of preventing future issues.

Look, it's gonna happen. We're mostly genre-savvy people and that'll inform everything we do. Try to avoid it. Don't do things that are going to detract from the fun of the table by looking up the module, stat blocks, or trying to build a character that is only fun for you.
