About me

Mystery...Fantasy....Adventure! I've always been nose-deep in epic fantasy books and games, but I remember just how hard it was to find a TTRPG group in the first place, let alone a good one that would be as invested in the game/story. When all else failed, I started DMing and I fell completely in love with it! Now I spend most of my time crafting games for players with novel-length backstories, as well as for those that just want to roll some dice have a good time! In addition to DnD 5E, we've run Call of Cthulu, Savage Worlds, Starfinder, Monster of the Week, Cyberpunk and a few other indie games. Recently, my longest-running group liked the games so much, we even started streaming our DnD 5e Modern game, and we're loving every minute of it! GM Style

As much as I personally love tweaking a character's stats and discovering new systems for skills and combat, I much prefer playing and DMing a rich, story-driven campaign where each player has a chance to be in the spotlight and tell their character's story. That means having lore-rich worlds in which characters can explore and discover and I tend to roleplay all interactions that take place, and love it when players really get into their characters and work things out in game. Good for beginners and long-time players alike, there is still a good amount of combat and deadly challenges/consequences, but I try my best to have those instances be meaningful and somehow related to the story. And I don't overly emphasize the rules over creativity and flavor. My inspiration comes from a great number of fantasy/sci-fi writers, third-party publishers and Reddit threads, as well as from listening to other TTRPG shows like Critical Role, Glass Cannon, The Adventure Zone, Dimension 20, etc...
