About me

Hi there and welcome! I am Cairn (Clément), an avid RPG player whose origin story started over 20 years ago, when 10 year old me was first introduced to D&D 3rd edition in the back room of a french game store. Every week for the years to follow, I went on memorable adventures along with other kids, who, through years of weekly games and shenanigans, became close friends at the table, and closer even in real life. I decided to get on the other side of the DM screen, after two decades of fun, discovery, and emotions, to bring these feelings to new and experienced players alike! I heavily believe on the positive impact of Role Playing Games in the development of imagination, problem solving and social skills, and can run children friendly games on request. Native french speaker, I can run games in French or English, depending on your preference. Based in Berlin and happy to run IRL games, covid safety measures allowing.

GM style

As a GM, your enjoyment of the adventure is my main goal. I place a great emphasis in making your choices have a meaningful impact on the world around you, and making your character's motivations and their growth a pivotal point of the adventure. I love roleplay to the extent that it is enjoyed by the players, and can bring voices to the NPCs for you to interact with, or describe the interaction in the third person, based on how you want to play it out. Tactical combat is a lot of fun when it does not overwhelm players with rules and bring the flow of the session to a halt. Do precise positioning and accurate measurements of AOEs matter, or is theater of the mind and the rule of fun the way your adventure will be played? Your choice! Each session can be very different to the next one, bringing roleplaying, puzzle solving, exploration and combat in doses adapted to you and the flow of the adventure. All in all, around the table as in the story, creating fun for you and the rest of the group is what matters!
