About me
Hi! My name is Caleb and I've been playing and running various TTRPG games for around seven years now. These systems I've run include DnD 5e, Pokemon Tabletop Adventures 3, and Pokemon 5e (RIP). I've played in several other systems like VTM, Pokerole, and Call of Cthulhu. I absolutely love writing and sharing stories with my players, and find it incredibly rewarding to craft a story together with them.
GM Style
My style is very flexible and can be adjusted for different groups, but here are the fundamentals: 1) Roleplay and combat are usually fairly well blended, with there being a decent amount of both in my games. Character interactions and development are massively important to me, but combat is a common and fun way to add tension when things seem to be slowing down. 2) The overall story and plot is also very important to me as a GM, but the player experience will always come first. Players getting "sidetracked" and doing random things that I never could have planned for is always welcome, and I always try my best to never railroad players. Of course, there will also usually be a good sense of what to do next for the overarching plot, however doing that "next step" is never truly necessary. 3) Tone is something I discuss in session 0 and I work together with the party to try and keep that consistent. This does not mean the tone of a campaign will mean that it is always dark and gritty, nor will it always be sunshine and rainbows, discussing the tone just helps set the starting/neutral point for how the world will feel. That being said, I always trust and respect the party to remember that sometimes serious/dramatic/sad moments can and will happen, and that we should all be mindful of those times. 4) Lastly, and most importantly, everybody is always welcome to my games. Under no circumstances will any sort of racism, homophobia, sexism, transphobia, or anything of that sort be tolerated.
