How Ashera runs games
Roleplay is strongly encouraged though not enforced. Some people like to maintain a degree of separation and that's absolutely fine. I am experienced with many player types and am used to helping newer role-players come out of their shell or comfort zone. I love creating memorable NPC's with unique voices and mannerisms to help build a world where the characters you encounter feel like individuals and not part of the backdrop. Combat is a huge part of most TTRPGs and I like to streamline it as much as possible to keep everyone engaged. There's nothing worse than waiting 20 minutes for your turn to come back around! I love when players think tactically and utilize their environment to overcome an encounter that could otherwise be deadly.

My table is usually a collection of like-minded people who enjoy immersing themselves in a world outside of their own. We might celebrate our great victories and mourn the loss of our comrades, but a grand adventure is always had. I'm most comfortable when those I run the game for are comfortable so know I'll always be the first to break the ice with a fun NPC and associated accent. But ultimately, my table is a place for people to escape the humdrum of reality and explore another world where life is equal parts excitement and adventure.
