About me
Come play with the GM one player says is worth $100/session. But for a more manageable price! Discord: https://discord.gg/PvYYZhJYaW - Come learn about the game world my campaigns take place in. I've been running games for 25 years (As of November 2024 in case I forget to update this). I cut my teeth on 2nd edition Dungeons and also the Dragons. Now I mostly run 5th edition games but Pathfinder has a special place in my heart (Fingers crossed; one of my friends said she'd go back to Pathfinder one day). I have an undue fondness for creative outlets. In my spare time I play with game mechanics of board games, create world maps, and dabble in drawing. My non-game life is in finance. Providing advice and teaching clients is as much a part of my traditional career as it is my gaming life. One day I'll have a hybrid career involving both avenues. Check out the youtube channel for examples of my DMing style. There are long-form sessions and shorts. The exhibited game is between friends. Referrals: If you refer a new player and they stay for two paid sessions, your next session is free! Multi-game enrollment: Enrolling in a second game gives you a ten percent discount on both games. Enrolling in a third game gives a fifteen percent discount on all three. There are no additional benefits for additional games. That is, a fourth game would be at full price while the first three remain at fifteen percent off.
GM Style
Styles shift with each game. One shots might be filled with dangerous combats, unusual traps, or strange encounters. Each of the pillars will be utilized as an adventure demands. Campaigns will differ in approach based on player buy-in and the kind of game I want to run. Some are grimdark, other lighthearted. Some are high-powered, others are low magic. Each game is unique in its style. Some of my favorite things to do in campaigns: *Character voices *Tactical Combat *Developing unique abilities for characters based on their personal stories *Creating magic items I am available for booking the following, in no particular order except Lost Mine of Phandelver being first and Curse of Strahd being last: - Lost Mine of Phandelver (Generally for new players) - The Wild Beyond the Witchlight - Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage - Waterdeep: Dragon Heist - Tyranny of Dragons: Hoard of the Dragon Queen - Tyranny of Dragons: Rise of Tiamat - Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden - Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus - Curse of Strahd (Generally for veteran players)

Creativity
If you're seeking an unparalleled gaming experience that blends creativity, empathy, and adventuring, look no further. When I joined over a year ago, I knew of DND but had never had the chance to play. While I was creating my first character, Jacob provided valuable guidance without stifling the creative experience. One of Jacob's greatest strengths lies in his creativity, and understanding of his players. He takes the time to listen, to truly comprehend our characters' backgrounds, and to help players create well-rounded characters. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a newcomer to tabletop gaming, Jacob ensures that everyone feels valued and included. I count myself lucky to participate in two of Jacob’s weekly campaigns, and those nights have quickly become the highlight of my week! If you're fortunate enough to join one of Jacob's campaigns, prepare yourself for an unforgettable journey into the realm of Tarosh!
I have been playing in a group that Jacob GM's for over a year now. I came into the campaign as they were wrapping up Lost Mines and Jacob integrated me into the story very well. I originally joined just to learn the basics of DnD and certain mechanics of gameplay, but ended up staying because the campaign is run so well. When Lost Mines concluded we continued to play other stories and have made it to lvl 11 so far. My only advice for anybody looking to play with Jacob as a GM would be to beware of skills or spells that require him to roll a Wisdom saving throw as he has a 95%+ success rating on those.
Jacob is able to comfortable guide new players into his games while also keeping things fun and interesting for experienced players. There is a great balance of combat, puzzles, and role playing/NPC interactions. His own world building and lore is well thought out and interesting to uncover over the course of his campaigns. Jacob rewards players for remembering details and incorporating that knowledge into role play with NPCs.
