About me
Hey, y’all! I’ve been playing TTRPGs in some form or another for years. Over 12 to be exact. At least ten of those I have been in the role of the DM. I don’t claim to be perfect, but one thing I will toot my own horn about is my engagement and storytelling. I don’t like crunchy munchy math and measuring distances - that takes away from the moment. I prefer story, fast combat, and I will generally run things ‘theater of the mind’ style for a more custom game experience. I am 100% LGBTQIA+, BI-POC, and Women friendly. Everyone who’s anyone is welcome at my table as long as we all mind ourselves and sit down to have some old fashioned fun. I’m a firm believer in the traffic light system and I will hand out a mandatory Content Warning checklist before we even get into character creation. I do not stand for hate at my table. But aside from all the sterner stuff I genuinely enjoy crafting a story with my players, getting to know their characters as they in turn get to know the world I make for them, and leave their marks upon it.
GM Style
I love roleplay. I’m not bad with voices. I could be a lot better, but I try. I prefer the fluid, theater of the mind combat. No need to break out the grid. While I do tend to lean towards darker stories lately, actual subject matter is kept to a decent R rating, I am not here for some weird penchant of shocking my players. I have a huge commitment to Consent and Safety in my games, as well as acceptance and companionship at the table, even when the actual characters are at odds.

Shelby is a friendly, fun, and laid-back GM who can evoke an intriguing world with plenty to explore. He was friendly and welcoming from the moment I met him. He rolls with player ideas like a pro and keeps the game lively. He evokes a sense of danger, mystery, and high stakes while still maintaining the vibe that he is the biggest fan of the characters and players at his table. The vibe at his table is comfortable and consistently respectful, and you can tell he takes genuine joy in providing an awesome experience. The very first session I ever played with him felt so much like being cast in the show it was based upon that I was absolutely blown away. It is one of the few times I've had an experience like that. I will definitely continue playing with him!
