About me

I started hosting games about 4 years ago when I started the Tabletop Gaming Club at my high school. Although I loved creating a world and adventures for my friends and fellow students to enjoy, I'd noticed that I could never fit all the ideas I created into the short sessions we had. Roleplaying games in general lend themselves to so much creative freedom that I loved and still enjoy to this day. As well as writing original stories for my players to enjoy, I also love giving my players more fun things to test out with the mechanics to really push the limits within their respective games and give players more strategic options to best their obstacles. My games tend to be more realistic and grim, and I prefer systems and modules that feed into that. (DnD modules like Curse of Strahd and Icewind Dale and systems like World of Darkness and Call of Cthulhu) If that sounds like your dark, brooding cup of tea, then you'll be right at home in one of my games.

GM Style

My favorite part about roleplaying games is the pure choice of the players to decide to do whatever they want. As such, my encounters are all as open ended as possible, allowing for player creativity. (Open ended mysteries and tense social interactions are probably my favorite things to experience as a game master because of the sheer scale of player interaction) I am also very open to embarassing myself with poor goblin, 18th century, and British accents to give my characters charm, and I tend to overindulge in the writing of my PCs, so feel free to ask about their life, business, or even their daughter's wedding in two days.
