About me

With a theatre background in both comedy and drama, I strive to make my games the perfect balance of fun times and immersive storytelling. I have been playing D&D 5e for 8 years, and for the past 3 years have been one of my friend group's "forever DMs." In my opinion, storytelling is one of the most amazing things in the world, and as a DM I hope to allow players to create the story they long for while getting the chance to craft a creative and multi-faceted world. With my experience in theatre, improv, and voice acting, I try to fully embody the NPCs players will meet and keep the game moving forward regardless of any unexpected choices players may make. I also want players to feel comfortable and included, so I'm a big advocate of using safety tools to ensure that none of the players are having a bad time. As far as software goes, I prefer to use Discord voice chat and Roll20 (on occasions that a map is used).

GM Style

As someone who has been in plays, musicals, improv, and voice acting, I absolutely love going all in on roleplay and character voices. I also try to stick pretty close to rules as written, but I'm willing to fudge that a little bit if they are left partially up to interpretation, and while I think the rules are important for building a foundation for what is and isn't possible in the game, I like to prioritize fun and interesting storytelling, so I don't want to be a stick in the mud if a player thinks outside of the box (in fact I love it when they do). I want to reward creative problem solving.
