Howdy Y'all. I'm Dr. Handy and I've been GMing games for a little over 5 years or so now. I actually started out my tabletop career as a DM for 5e and I am very glad to say I've learned a lot and have improved since those days. I take a fairly laid back approach to running games; bending the rules, going for the Rule of Cool, etc. I find that games tend to run smoother and are more enjoyable for everyone if we keep the rules lawyering to a minimal. Those few minutes we spend looking up the obscure rule for something is time we could have spent keeping the rhythm and flow of the game going in new and exciting directions. But just because I'm laid back, doesn't mean I don't prepare! I make sure to have something for every player during my sessions. All you need to do is ask. I like to run Cyberpunk games, because that's my jam! But I also can't say no to good ol' D&D 5e. I also like running games made by Sine Nomine Publishing (The Without Number Series, Godbound, etc.)

GM Style

I'm the kind of GM who likes to speak to ya' a lot in-character, often times with my best attempt at an accent or voice. I do enjoy a good game of combat murder chess every once in a while, but if you don't have those social interactions with interesting characters, then what what are we doing? Why aren't we just playing a video game? And while I do prep, with players always being unpredictable, there've been times when the notes just need to be thrown out early in the session and you gotta play by the seat of your pants. If that happens, things can get zany.
