About me
I started DM'ing back in 2011 mainly enjoying 5e. My playstyle is very relaxed (i.e. If you want to do something cool and outside the box go for it, let's see how well you roll!) I am a strong believer that TTRPGs should be fun. It's a game after all! That's why a rules-light approach has always had my players enjoying themselves the most! Some of that experience has been running charity games and teaching players how to DM! If that sounds like you drop me a message I would love to play with you! GM Style
Relaxed, letting my players find their own stories and path is my approach over some other DMs that like complete control. If you want to create a 3 page back story for your PC GREAT! If you don't have any idea about where your PC came from GREAT! The greatest thing about DND is it allows stories to develop the way you want.

Absolutely fantastic GM, he is fair and is amazing for beginners and seasoned veterans. Lets players have creative freedom as long as it works within the story telling and rules. I joined a group he GM'd for in 2024 and has bought a sense love back to D&D for me. Thanks to Athen!!

We've played together for more than two years by now and every session has been delightful. The stories are wonderful and there's room for all players to have their moment. The atmosphere in his games are adaptive to the stories, but generally there's always room for fun. I can definitely recommend Athen as a DM, anyone who gets to play in one of his games is lucky and will for sure enjoy themselves.

Fantastic DM. Been a player of his for the past 4 years and can honestly say his introduction into the world of DND was amazing, he was a great teacher.Also his teaching when I wanted to become a DM has been second to none!
