I started DM'ing back in 2011 mainly enjoying 5e. My playstyle is very relaxed (i.e. If you want to do something cool and outside the box go for it, let's see how well you roll!) I am a strong believer that TTRPGs should be fun. It's a game after all! That's why a rules-light approach has always had my players enjoying themselves the most! How Athen runs games
Relaxed, letting my players find their own stories and path is my approach over some other DMs that like complete control. If you want to create a 3 page back story for your PC GREAT! If you don't have any idea about where your PC came from GREAT! The greatest thing about DND is it allows stories to develop the way you want.
