About me

Hi all! My name is Yar (you get an Inspiration for every creative pun with my name), I am from Vancouver and I would be happy to host a game session for you! I stumbled into DnD by chance a few years back, and have been consumed by it ever since. I get my inspiration for the game from Critical Role, Matt Colville and Monarch's Factory, so my games tend to have about equal parts of roleplay, politics and tactics. I ran official adventures in the Forgotten Realms and I have my own world I have worked on for several years now. It is up to you which world to explore!

GM Style

I tend to run a game with a serious note, but I am always open to any fun shenanigans players bring in to the table. My motto is "We are here to have fun, and nothing can stop that!" I am not an actor, but I try to make each NPC memorable either by description or their behavior. You are always free to interact with anyone you meet in my game, because I think improv is fun. I am a visual person, so I try to run the game either with a map or with an inspiration screen and rarely use the full-on theatre of the mind. The combat I run is tactical, and I am open to any homebrew you want to bring.
