About me

Hello! My name Is Michael (or Mikey, whichever is preferred). I am a burgeoning Game Master with a few years of experience. I love to play Dungeons & Dragons and find it a great way to get to know other people and develop conversational skills, problem-solving abilities, and sometimes even form bonds that last a lifetime! I value the RAW, but balance this with a healthy dose of Rule of Cool, allowing for bountiful possibilities in a game setting. I am still new and learning, but am committed to providing a healthy space for adventure to cultivate!

GM Style

I love describing a place to set the tone of the setting, and sometimes use background music to convey that as well. I love playing NPCs, and most have a voice, opinions, and desires of their own. There are regular ones, but worry not, I have a good Kobold voice tucked away. I enjoy helping craft backstories, including ties to existing NPCs if playing a module, in-character callback moments, and opportunities to learn, change, and grow. I reward players who provide laughter or excellent gameplay moments, including great use of Class/Race features or excellent roleplay between characters and/or NPCs. I like to have fun, but I also ensure that every voice is heard and someone has something to do or is otherwise content. Player enjoyment is a big thing for me.
