About me

I started my GM career at eight years old with the free intro to DnD at a book fair and soon bought my first dice. Unable to afford anything else I made my own pen-paper games including a Diablo-esque with guns and sorcery, a pretty good recreation of Resident Evil 2, Solar System Bloodfest (fast furious planet killer battles), Ant Wars (way too detailed ant PvP/SIM), and my best titled TPB which was basically Avatar the Last Airbender but with way more bending abilities, elements, fast paced PvP, and all kinds of evolution-based monsters from my brain and about a decade before Avatar came out on Nick. I've also played the 3d model-based Hero Quest, I love Warhammer 40,000 and Dark Heresy. I've never played Call of Cthulhu but I really like the podcasts of it and wouldn't mind giving it a try. I am a professional writer and editor. I was first published in high-school but had been writing long before that, was a reviewer for plays/musicals/art galleries in college, and a copywriter for an art company after I graduated. I love writing and making stories, and RPGs are fun for me b/c I don't have to play every character at the same time in my head and I have players and dice rolls to help tell the story. For players in LA I have a copy of a game called Mech Commander RTS, which you can look up it's really fun fast paced real-time PvP for which I've made an RPG-system that features factions, espionage and a fully original storyline I'll turn into a book. But that's something for next year when Corona blows over. In the meantime I really want to host an online game of Dark Heresy. I've made custom rules and a campaign for the Tau that can feature other 40k races as well. If your group wants to play something even weirder like as Necrons or Tyranids I'm down for that. I'm playing my first game with GURPS and that's pretty fun so I'm flexible. I'm going to do some audiobooks next year so I need to perfect my narrator and see what other voices I can do.

GM style

I like to mix it all up and keep it interesting. My sessions seem to naturally break up into: Exploration, Investigation, Role Play, or Combat Sessions and I adjust for player-preferences. The more lore or science or excellent strategy or RP players perform I usually reward with xp Achievements.
