About Tubular Veggie
My name is Alan and the pleasure is all mine. I have well over 25 years of experience with table topping, with 10 of those GMing a plethora of games and systems: D&D, Exalted, Pathfinder, World of Darkness, & Mongoose Traveler. If you love world building, deep characterization, and verisimilitude that takes an adventure path, campaign, homebrew, or story to the next level you’ve found your man. My tables are for individuals who want mature themes that cater to adults exclusively, with worlds and themes that explore deep, heavy, and serious tones. If you enjoy movies like The Witch by A24, love Andrzej Sapkowski’s the Witcher, or games like Baldur’s Gate 3 made by Larian Studios, then you’ll enjoy a seat at my table. Lastly, if you are just tired of safe, boring, and uninteresting sessions that don't challenge you in any way, shape, or form then you've come to the right place. TL;DR: I put the sex & drugs & rock’n’roll into TTRPGS. Compelling encounters, adult stories, gothic & metal themes, and verisimilitude everywhere. Put on the Crow (1994) fire up Xenogears (Square) or curl up with the Vampire Lestat (Anne Rice) and let’s blow this popsicle stand.

How Tubular Veggie runs games
Role Play: I try to balance the three pillars of RP I find to be the most important: combat, exploration, and roleplay. As a GM I lean towards eastern european, gothic, horror, macabre, and wuxia themes in play and dabble in sci-fi and western themes from time to time. World Building: I invest into world building and deep characterization, and never take a lackadaisical effort in just running a module “as is” because often times more than not there isn’t much to hook or invest the player. I really invest into making the sessions feel alive as opposed to just hexes on a map, places to be looted, and hp sponges to be deleted (not that their is anything wrong with beer and pretzel games). Voice Acting: I try to bring a variety of personality and voices to the NPCS, but will never really fool any indigenous individual when putting on an act, I'm good but not that good. Personality: Lastly, I also invest into TOTM (theater of the mind) 3rd party resources, ambience music, tokens, and modules to really amp up the VTT experience.
