Waterdeep Dragon Heist: Summer

About the adventure

Can you beat the heat or will the heat beat you? Race against the rich and powerful in this heist-focused campaign that will take you to level 5. You're on the hunt for the ultimate prize within the city of Waterdeep, all the while batting away similarly interested rivals and leaving your mark on the Forgotten Realms! New players and veterans alike are welcomed. I emphasize both combat and roleplay and try to balance both within the context of a given session. I'm a "yes and" DM who appreciates good improvisation and having fun above all else.

How to prepare

Webcam is not necessary but appreciated, mic is a must. Knowing the rules like the back of your hand isn't necessary at all, but having a cursory grasp of the basics is recommended. Make sure you own and are familiar with Discord, OwlBear Rodeo and D&D Beyond on a basic level, ideally.

What I provide

I'll be bringing maps (to the best of my ability) via Owl Bear Rodeo, the rest is up to the players.

Gameplay details

I follow rules as best I can but I also try to allow for "rule of cool" moments when appropriate. Players are encouraged to correct me or discuss with me rulings/homebrew rules they find objectionable.

How will character creation work

Ideally players create their level one characters beforehand in D&D Beyond. If you would rather make them during Session 0 that can also be discussed.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
