About the adventure

Welcome to the Final Frontier! These are the voyages of…YOU! This campaign is a grand campaign for Star Trek Adventures from the early days of Starfleet through most of its canonical history. We will have a persistent universe where new Starfleet officers begin, serve their careers, and possibly retire as a "win condition," only to be replaced by a new class of officers starting again. Discover the secrets of the past and see the effects of your decisions and victories ripple through the timeline. We will be starting in the 'Strange New Worlds' Era and moving forward in a 'monster of the week' type format, were some weeks the monster might be a spacial anomaly, a undiscovered life form, or other weeks the monster might be ourselves.

How to prepare

Players must have a computer with a modern web browser that is compatible with Foundry VTT and a broadband internet connection for that computer. Players will need a free account for Syrinscape to be able to download the free online player we use for game sounds, and you’ll need a Discord account to communicate during and between games.

What I provide

I bring the Foundry VTT and Syrinscape licenses as well as the ruleset and adventures.

Gameplay details

This campaign has content consistent with a Star Trek series, somewhere between Star Trek: Enterprise and Star Trek: Lower Decks. There are descriptions and discussions about potential bodily harm, violence, warfare, disease, economic hardship, science, social justice, mathematics, politics, and alien cultures in what might be regarded TV-MA presentation. If any of these topics are a red line for you, this campaign might not be a good fit. We will use a Yellow Card—Red Card system that any player can utilize if the scene is getting too intense; the use of these cards is done through clicking on an icon on the Fantasy Grounds screen, it is anonymous which player presented the card, but I will take immediate action when one is presented. A Yellow Card lets us fade-to-black and continue with the story on the other side of the disturbing content; a Red Card stops the game and invokes a 15-minute break. After the break, we can discuss what was going wrong and how we can best fix it for the group.

How will character creation work

Players may work with the GM to do a run-through of their academy days where the character will be created during play, or they can make a new ensign using the official character generator at: we are starting in the mid-22nd century so the only races currently available are Human, Andorian, Denobulan, Tellarite, or Vulcan. Your new character must be an Ensign with the Young Officer talent.
