About the adventure

In the tropical dragonborn Empire Of The Golden One, trouble brews in the steamy swamps of Axaza, where ancient mysteries, dangerous monsters, and lucrative bounties can be found. Your characters will be a group of adventurers—bounty hunters—heading down to Axaza following rumors of some big bounties that have been posted down there recently. Your reasons for taking up the adventuring life may be your own, and perhaps you have your own personal reasons to go to Axaza—whether it be to find something or someone down there, or to run from something that’s chasing you. You’ll be starting this campaign at level 1, with soft limitations on character ancestry (I have recommended ancestries that make sense based on the setting, but I’m open to your characters being other published ancestries so long as you understand that choosing outside of my recommendations will likely make you an oddity and in some cases an outcast). This is going to be an open-ended campaign set in a land predominantly populated by dragonborn, with themes of wilderness survival, monster-hunting, exploration, dungeon delving, and ancient secrets. Character creation will be done together during session 0.

How to prepare

Players should have a computer, a mic, and accounts on Roll20 and Discord. They should also have at least a cursory understanding of the rules, though I am more than happy to offer support to new players both in and outside of sessions. No dice or character sheets needed, as all will be handled digitally in roll20.

What I provide

Many years of experience with GMing TTRPGS and introducing new players Character specific token, either made from your description or using art you send me. Digital rulebooks on Roll20 A friendly & safe environment for everyone, in and out of the game. Unique tokens for NPCs, hundreds of original maps and battlemaps, and more!

Gameplay details

Original maps, tokens, lore, items, monsters, and more! Flexible playstyle with incentives to engage with the setting and NPCs LGBTQ+ friendly environment I will send a survey to you that you can fill out in order for me to know your lines, veils, expectations, and interests. We will discuss these things in session 0 as well. The sessions will start with a short chat, recap, and then we will get right into playing, with at least one 5-10 minute break. We will end the sessions with a small debriefing to check in on each other, talk about stars and wishes, and to plan what your characters want to do in the next session.

How will character creation work

The characters will start at level 1, and will be created (or at least concieved) together during session 0 in Roll20. You are welcome to bring your own ideas for your character to session 0, but you shouldn't be married to any choices before meeting the rest of the group. For new players, I will happily walk them through the process, up to and including building a character for them myself based on a few questions I ask.
