The Solo Rogue Experience

About the adventure

I currently am only offering the "Solo Rogue Experience." I run a personalized solo campaign for you, the player, as whatever Rogue archetype you wish. Scheme and stealth around. Lie, cheat, and steal to your heart's content. Run from people who owe you a beating or that you owe money to, or both. Avoid initiative as much as possible by nailing your sneak attacks. Prepare ambushes and traps to snare your sworn enemies and bask in their demise. Role-play as a novice Assassin or as a level 12 Inquisitive in the twilight of their career, or any other type of Rogue you can imagine. This is intended to cover a season of television's worth of story in 3 sessions up to 4 hours each. - Here are some of the gritty details of my process and some of what you can expect: Step 1- Message me on the startplaying.games website with your indication of interest. Just include a tiny bit about yourself and perhaps let me know if you have a player profile or public social media account you'd like to refer me to. Step 2- As soon as possible I'll respond to schedule a brief chat. If we're a good fit I'll schedule your free Session Zero! Step 3- Session Zero is where we'll take about an hour or so to cover story and setting basics, your character, and anything in particular you are interested in exploring during play, as well as covering boundaries, safety tools, and personal limits. Step 4- Time to play! Your initial play session will be up to 4 hours long including breaks as needed. We'll schedule it according to mutual availability. - While I am getting used to the platform I am charging a much lower price than I would, for example, in one of my corporate DJ events. In a music event contract I charge a flat rate fee of $150 (not including expenses/travel) for up to 4 hours of music. For the first set of sessions I run while I get used to the platform, I'm offering a free Session Zero as previously mentioned and a temporary new client price of $90 per session.

How to prepare

A microphone is essential unless you would prefer text only, which is a very different process but certainly an option for whomever would prefer a text based exchange. Webcams aren't strictly necessary. No prior knowledge of 5th Edition D&D is required. I'm more than happy to teach beginners! The only simple expectation when it comes to playing for the first time is that extra time is not allotted in the planned session duration for tutorializing. The price is the same and the maximum session length is up to 4 hours no matter experience level.

What I provide

I will be more than happy to assist players with a 3d rendering of their character through Hero Forge. Either the player may create their own or I can render it during session zero discussion. For a limited time only the $90 session fee also includes a free use of the 3D scan, though the scan itself is property of the campaign I'm running, I'm happy to provide it free of charge to represent your character of choice.

Gameplay details

Players can expect very detailed character creation. Since this is a solo, 1 on 1 campaign experience, Players have more sway and influence in the initiating aspects of the story than is typical. Expect a lot of intense roleplay and focus on your character in particular as the lead role in the story. Combat and strategy play a part, but as a rouge you often work alone and it's often best to either run and hide, or strike first with ruthless lethality. The key to survival and victory will rely largely on your ability to outwit and outrun your enemies. And your luck.

How will character creation work

Character creation will be done together during session zero. We will discuss the level of play that you'd like to explore. If you feel like a level 20 experience would be rewarding, we can accommodate that an adjust a custom experience for you to a degree. If you'd prefer a lower level, even level 1, we can find a way to make that experience just as intense and exciting.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
