About the adventure
It's a rainy, but otherwise normal night in Phandalin. Like every other night, you're drinking at the Stonehill Inn. You're nursing an ale, thinking of turning in early when the door to the tavern slams open and Merwick, the local blacksmith stumbles in bleeding heavily. He drops his hammer and sinks to his knees... "They got her.... they got my Bess..." Goblins have invaded the village and have kidnapped the blacksmith's daughter. Their nefarious purpose is unknown. What is known is that you can't stand by and do nothing while she's in danger. The Delian Tomb is an adventure for D&D 5e designed for 3-5 lv. 1 characters. It was created by game designer and professional nerd Matt Colville. It is the quintessential starter one shot.
Additional Details
How to prepare
Players will need: A Webcam, A Microphone, Internet Access, & access to Roll 20 virtual tabletop software. Roll 20's dice rolling is preferred. Players can roll on Google & share in the chat, OR webcam rolls are allowed. If you create a character, I will need artwork for your character no later than an hour before the session to create a token in Roll 20.

Everything is set up and ready to go in Roll 20. I have a map prepared as well as enemy tokens.
Gameplay details
This is a grid based tactical game on a professionally designed battle map. There will be opportunity for light roleplaying & exploration. This game is designed to finish up in one session. Players can expect content similar to a hard PG-13 to a soft R rating. Closer to the Lord of the Rings rating scale than say Game of Thrones. Players can DM "Red Light, Yellow Light, Green Light" if anything makes them uncomfortable. A 15 minute Session 0 is available on request before the One Shot if desired.

How will character creation work
Character Players can choose to bring their own lv. 1 character for D&D 5th edition OR pre-generated character sheets can be provided for new players. Point-Buy or Standard Array preferred for stat generation. Stats can be rolled on a video chat with the DM. All official D&D 5th edition content is allowed. No homebrew or Unearthed Arcana please. If you do not have access to the PHB or other materials. The DM has a Master Subscription to D&D Beyond. Access will be shared to all of the DM's content for D&D 5e. For players unfamiliar with the character creation process, use of the pre-generated characters is suggested. However, a character creation seminar can be arranged if desired.
