About the adventure

Adventuring is a dangerous profession, and in recent years Guilds have cropped up to help regulate it. Some have been more successful than others. The Baldur's Gate Guild was a notable failure, rife with corruption and malpractice, but forget everything bad you've heard! The Guild now been bought out and revived by noted adventurer and inventor Franz de Renais! Come see if you have what it takes to join the new and improved Baldur's Gate Adventuring Guild (Sponsored by Renais Tech®). We'd like to make sure that you're not going to drop dead on fighting your first bandit, so our brilliant owner is going to test you with a simulated adventuring scenario. Adventuring is not a career for those who are safe and comfortable in their lives. Nobody adventures unless they have to. The mortality rate is high, but for a select few, the potential rewards can outweigh the risk. Whether it's fame, fortune, magical items or unbelievable stories that you're after, you can find them here. And if you're lucky, you might live to retirement.

How to prepare

Please have at minimum a microphone and a discord account. I will have my camera on. Other people with webcams are welcome, but it's not at all required. I would recommend bringing your own character sheet, and if you do, please also have a picture/digital copy of your sheet so that I can reference it if needed.

What I provide

I'm providing a discord server for the game with a die-rolling mechanism included.

Gameplay details

X, N, and O cards can be spoken out loud or messaged privately or publicly in the discord chat. A Lines and Veils form will be provided on the day of the game for players to fill out individually.

How will character creation work

Please bring an adventurer of level 1-3. I will have a couple of premade character sheets on hand, but if you'd like to really make your character your own, I'd recommend bringing your own. Backstory doesn't have to be fleshed out, but it's a good idea to know of why your character would want to go into adventuring in the first place — it's a dangerous profession that could well result in their death.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
